TRAINING PRINCIPLES FOR ATHLETES
Performance training is supplemental to the games and practices that already take up the bulk of your time. As a former student-athlete, I understand that time is precious and that you want to get the most out of every workout while not having to sacrifice performance at practice or game days. Throughout my graduate studies in Kinesiology and certifications in personal training and sport performance training, I have learned that workouts for athletes don't need to last hours or be complex. Most athletes only need to include varying amounts of the following types of training in their workouts:
